Apply For A Special VEA License Plate
Wouldn't you enjoy having a special VEA License Plate riding on your car? Promote public education while showing pride in your Association!
At the 2017 VEA convention, delegates approved a process for making VEA license plates available from the DMV. To make it work, however, we need to collect at least 500 pledges from educators and others to purchase the plates once they become available.
Follow the steps below to make VEA license plates a reality and reserve your plate:
- Sign your pledge to reserve a VEA special license plate. On this online pledge form, you'll give us your name and contact information.
- Once VEA receives 500 pledges, which we hope to accomplish by November 1, we'll be ready to roll. VEA will contact you with instructions on how to fill out your DMV application and make the appropriate payment. You must then turn in your application and payment to VEA to reserve your plate by December 15. If we are unable to reach 500 pledges, we will not be able to offer a special VEA License Plate.
- The basic cost for the VEA License Plate will be $10. If you wish to personalize the plate, you will record the information (6 character maximum) in the boxes provided on the application. (You can transfer a personalized message you already have on your plate as long as it does not exceed 6 characters.) There is an additional $10 annual fee to personalize the plate. If you do personalize, your payment is $20.
- Note: International Symbols of Access (disabled) plates are available upon request.
