Call for VEA Trainers

The Virginia Education Association is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted from association leaders, members and staff interested in the VEA Training Program to train on one of the following VEA Training Cadres:

  • The Instructional Practices Cadre
  • The Special Education Cadre
  • The Leadership & Policy Cadre
  • The Diversity Cadre
  • The Minority Leadership Training Cadre
  • The Women’s Leadership Training Cadre

If selected, potential Cadre members will be invited to attend and successfully complete a Training of Trainers (TOT) process scheduled for December 8-10, 2017.  Individuals who successfully fulfill the TOT process may also train alongside experienced trainers before delivering content on their own.

View the VEA Leadership Qualifications for becoming a trainer and download and complete the Cadre Trainer Application. We strongly encourage members from various backgrounds to apply, i.e. males, ESPs, NBCT, all grade levels and from each region of the state.

Association leaders, members and staff who meet the prerequisites and who are interested should return the completed application form on or before 4:30 p.m. Monday October 2nd to:
