PWEA Members Appointed to VEA Committees

Congratulations to the following PWEA Members on their appointments to VEA Committees! Their first meeting will be Saturday October 6th in Richmond.

Gwen Edwards, a TSSPEC at Rippon MS and Dale City ES, has been appointed as to the VEA Education Support Professionals (ESP) Committee for 2018-2020.  She was also appointed to the VEA Minority and Women’s Concerns Committee for 2018-2020.

Megan Link, a Librarian at Stonewall Jackson HS, has been appointed as Co-Chair of the VEA Credentials Committee for a 2-year term.

Carolyn McNeal, an autism teacher assistant at Penn ES, has been appointed to the Education Support Professional (ESP) Committee for 2018-2020.

Erin Merrill, a Middle School Social Studies teacher at Pennington Traditional, has been appointed to the Instructional and Professional Development (IPD) Committee for a 2-year term.

Riley O'Casey, PWEA President, has been appointed to the VEA Membership Committee for a 1-year term, the 2018-19 NEA Convention Planning Team, and the Legislative Committee for a 1-year term.

Jennifer Rokasky, Energy Education Coordinator at Office of Facilities Services, has been appointed Co-Chair of the VEA Communications Committee for a 2-year term. She was also appointed to the VEA Resolutions Committee for 2018-2020.

Chuck Ronco, a math teacher at Stonewall Jackson HS, has been appointed to the VEA Elections Campaign Practices Committee (2018-2019)

April Thomas, a TSSPEC at Fred Lynn MS, has been appointed to the Professional Rights & Responsibilities Commission for a 2 year term, and she was elected to the executive committee.

Amy Verner, a 4th grade teacher at Signal Hill ES, has been appointed to the Communications-Public Relations Committee for a 2 year term.

Lyron Woodard, a network engineer with Information Technology, has been appointed to the Education Support Professional (ESP) Committee for 2018-2020.

Tabatha Zarkauskas, a Science Teacher at Forest Park High School, has been appointed to the Resolutions Committee for a 2 year term.
