The Top 5 most ridiculous statements from management at the bargaining table yesterday:

1. We (management) need to get back to our real jobs.
2. Small groups are more effective.
3. Some employees despise you.
4. Your group is too disruptive to be invited to employee events.
5. We really need to do better.

Our CAT (Contract Action Team) is organizing for the upcoming bargaining sessions in September. PWEA’s bargaining team submitted our proposed contract to management that includes:

1. 17% increase in compensation
2. Realignment of the pay scale with steps aligning with experience.
3. Removal of flex days and annual school year instructional time is determined by minutes OR days no longer both.
4. No more working for free with “other duties as assigned.”
5. Increase in compensation with all stipends.

September is the time for YOU to show up and tell management you not only deserve a fair contract, you expect a fair contract!
